Original 5000IU Human Chorionic Gonadotropin HCG For Pregnancy Test
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin HCG
HCG,Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a hormone produced during pregnancy. HCG is only for in vitro diagnostic use, the test device should remain sealed until use, do not use after expiration date. Reagents and materials provided included rapid HCG S/U Test Card, disposable sample pipet, instruction for use.
The first step is the collection of urine. Specimens collected at any time may be used (the first morning urine generally contains the highest concentration of the hormone). No centrifugation or filtration of urine is required, the urine specimens must be collected in a clean dry container either plastic or glass without preservatives. If specimens can not be tested within 3 days of collection, they should be stored refrigerated at 2-8 degree.
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is used to support the normal development of an egg in a woman's ovary, stimulate the release of the egg during ovulation, also used to cause ovulation and treat infertility in women, and to increase sperm count in men. HCG is also used in young boys when their testicles have not dropped down into the scrotum normally. This can be caused by a pituitary gland disorder.
How does Human Chorionic Gonadotropin HCG works?
The membrane of the test device was coated with anti HCG antibodies on the test region and goat anti mouse IgG antibodies on the control region. During the test, urine specimen is allowed to react with the HCG monoclonal antibody-colloid gold conjugate, which was pre-dried on the test strip.
The mixture then moves upward on the membrane chromatographically by capillary action. For a positive specimen, the conjugate binds to the HCG forming an antibody-antigen complex. This complex is captured by anti HCG antibody immobilized on the test region (T) and produces a pink color band when HCG concentration is equal to or greater than 25mIU/ml.
Absence of this colored band in the test region suggests a negative result. To serve as a procedural control, a colored band at the control region(C) will always appear regardless the presence or absence of HCG.
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin HCG Effects
HCG is produced by the placenta during pregnancy. The hCG test can be used to see if a woman is pregnant or as part of a screening test for birth defects. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin HCG test is done to check for thehormone hCG in blood or urine. Some hCG tests measure the exact amount and some just check to see if the hormone is present.
Cells in the placenta produce Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. The placenta is the sac that nourishes the egg after it’s fertilized and attaches to the uterine wall.HCG can increase the chances of having a multiple pregnancy such as twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc.
HCG can first be detected in a blood sample about 11 days after conception. Levels of hCG continue to double every 72 hours. They reach their peak around eight to 11 weeks after conception. HCG levels then decline and level off, remaining steady for the rest of your pregnancy.
HCG may also be made abnormally by certain tumors, especially those that come from an egg or sperm (germ cell tumors). HCG levels are often tested in a woman who may have abnormal tissue growing in her uterus, a molar pregnancy, or a cancer in the uterus (choriocarcinoma) rather than a normal pregnancy. Several hCG tests may be done after amiscarriage to be sure a molar pregnancy is not present. In a man, hCG levels may be measured to help see whether he has cancer of thetesticles
Research suggests that HCG can greatly control and improve the body's metabolic functions, and help to use and burn the calories, instead of storing them into fat reserves.
HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a natural human hormone that is generally produced by women, during pregnancy.
human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), is by the placental tropho bastic cells secrete a kind of glycoprotein, is composed of alpha and beta dimers glycoprotein.
HCG as one of the pregnancy test indicators, often at the same time, the disease associated with pregnancy, some diseases such as tumor diagnosis, differential and the course of a certain value.
