Drostanolone Enanthate – Masteron Enanthate

Drostanolone enanthateThe word “steroid” is a major buzzword in the word of bodybuilding. Outside those who work with these steroids one on one, including doctors, the world is mainly blind in how they work. This is most often the reason they are abused, but this does not mean they are inherently bad. Once this is understood, we can go forward with an unbiased approach to understanding the use of these steroids. A very popular steroid used in the underground world of bodybuilding is called Masteron Enanthate. Masteron Enanthate, also known as Drostanolone Enanthate, is essentially a revitalized anabolic androgenic steroid that is derived from an old time, and no longer available steroid called Drostanolone Propionate.

When the market went dry of Drostanolone Propionate in the 1980’s and 90’s, Masteron Enanthate popped up in manufacturing plants in small doses. It was in the medical world where the since discontinued Drostanolone Propionate was used in the treatment of breast cancer. Steroids in the treatment of breast cancer make sense, as the fuel for the cancer is primarily estrogen. Since most steroids block or inhibit estrogen from being released, this drug used in bodybuilding makes a lot of sense. If you are not familiar with this fact, it would be of interest for you to know that estrogen does not improve the growth of muscle, and can even be said to create growth of cancer cells and not healthy cells. As a side, steroids such as Masteron can also be said to limit estrogen production to some degree, which would give light to the theory as to why females do not have the same muscle mass as many men without the use of hormone intervention.

Used less over the years as a breast cancer drug, the new age form Masteron is thought of more casually as the “breast cancer steroid used by bodybuilders.” Though these two forms are used for different populations, and obviously different reasons, there is but a small difference between the two when you break it down chemically. The difference lies in relation to the ester bond, which does not mean much in how they react once inside the body.

Before being used in the bodybuilding world, steroids as a whole were used mostly to treat patients with diseases, as stated above. Only during the 70’s and into the 80’s were steroids, especially Masteron, used for recreational purposes such as bodybuilding, or non-life threatening conditions. Part of the reason for Drostanolone Propionate being discontinued has to do with labor costs of drug manufacturing in the United States. During the time it was discontinued, the price of labor increased, and so many manufacturing companies took their labor overseas where manufacturing costs were much lower. So while Drostanolone Enanthate is still an FDA approved steroid, it is not manufactured inside of the United States. It production can be found in countries like China and Indonesia.
